The ATC SCM45A Studio Monitors are mid-size three-way powered speakers featuring dual hand built ATC 6.5" bass drivers that can be used in near- or mid-field positions.

The ATC Loudspeakers SCM45A Pro is a completely new design that shares many features with the highly successful SCM25A. It fills a gap in ATC’s product range for a mid-size three-way that can be used in near- or mid-field positions. It has high output and extended low frequency for its size, without compromising the overall balance for which ATC is known.

Like the SCM25A, the new SCM45A is an active three-way with what ATC describes as an unprecedented linear response across the critical mid-range, as well as across the rest of the audible range. In contrast to the SCM25A, the SCM45A has a second woofer for deeper bass response and increased SPL capability, as well as ATC’s new proprietary dual-suspension tweeter for increased resolution in the top-end. In addition, the SCM45A is physically symmetrical (not mirror imaged) and sized for placement on a meter bridge. The SCM45A can be used as a center speaker between other SCM45A monitors or ATC SCM50ASLs.

The ATC SCM Line
The SCM25/45/50/100/110 and 150 are a range of three way loudspeakers. All of the range, excluding the SCM25 and SCM45 are available as passive or active units, the SCM25 & SCM45 are only available as an active unit. Passive units have an SL suffix and active units an ASL suffix. Passive monitors are equipped with a “tri-wire” connection panel to enable separate amplification of the bass, mid and high frequency drivers. Active units have a built in three way Amplifier with frequency, gain and phase correction which has been individually optimized at the ATC manufacturing facility. Adjustment of input sensitivity and bass boost are available to the user via controls on the rear panel of the unit.
