The Blue Bottle Rocket Stage One is Blue's most accessible Class A discrete solid state mic, which also supports Blue's Bottle Caps interchangeable capsule system. Precision-designed and hand-assembled, the Stage One is crafted for a lifetime of use. Compared to similar microphones, the Stage One has a very low self noise specification (< 7.5 dB) and a very high output level (+12dBV), making it the perfect choice for today’s high sample rate/deep word length digital platforms. Instead of integrated circuits (chips), the Stage One employs a transformless Class A discrete amplifier circuit to ensure the most accurate and noise-free signal possible, with minimal distortion and coloration. The Stage One is an ideal microphone for recording virtually any sound source.

Bottle Rocket Stage One includes the B8 large-diaphragm cardioid condenser Bottle Cap. Its mission: total recording versatility. The B8 capsule is a hotrod version of one of the world’s most legendary condenser capsules. But unlike it’s predecessor, which was lacking in mids, B8 is tuned for a lush midrange with a gorgeous lift around 5kHz and a smooth cut around 8kHz. It’s perfect for capturing a wide variety of sound sources with stunning detail—including lead vocals, electric and acoustic guitars, drums, percussion, horns and strings.
