If you already have a sizeable investment in mic stands and booms and you’d like a cost-effective means to upgrade to Triad-Orbit IO-R Quick-Change functionality, the Triad-Orbit IO-R/6 Retrofit Quick-Change Coupler Six Pack lets you equip six stands at a time with on-the-fly hardware swapping. The IO-R Quick-Change Coupler combines with the Triad-Orbit IO-H to provide seamless compatibility between Triad-Orbit’s breakthrough mic stand components and conventional mic stands, boom arms and mic clips. The IO-R features the industry-standard 5/8" female mounting thread and an optional 3/8" BSW adaptor for universal compatibility. With the Triad-Orbit IO-R and IO-H retrofit components, you can keep your current stands and give them the enhanced, precision mic-placement capabilities of Triad Orbit stands and booms.

Triad-Orbit IO-R and IO-H IO-R Quick-Change Couplers capture and release booms and mics with ease and stability. Thanks to the hardware-swapping capabilities of IO-R quick-change couplers, the clumsy and tedious task of threading booms and mic clips on and off is no longer necessary. Rapid hardware and mic changes between recording sessions and live sets are a snap. The Triad-Orbit IO-H quick-change mounting head is the link between T-O retrofit components and conventional mic stands, boom arms, and mic clips. The IO-H features the industry-standard 5/8-inch mounting thread and an optional 3/8-inch BSW adaptor for universal compatibility.

Just as you would with a mic clip, screw the IPO-R to the threaded portion of your conventional mic stand or boom. Then use the supplied hex wrench to securely lock the IPO-R in place. A cam applies pressure internally to tighten the threads. Your mic IO-R stand’s threads are not stripped or damaged in any way.

The IO-H hex head is threaded to the device you wish to attach or remove, e.g. boom arm, mic adapter, iOrbit Tablet and Smartphone Mount, which then fits into the IO-R coupler.

Micro M1-R Retrofit Orbital Mic Adaptor

Micro M1-R is the retrofittable version of the O2 Dual-Arm Orbital Booms with Micro M1 Orbital Mic Adaptor. Exhibiting the same extended range-of-motion, M1-R Mic Adaptors feature a long stem ball-swivel mounting arm to accommodate the hanging of large diaphragm studio microphones with spider-style shock-mounts. The patent-pending Glide Path ball swivel housing facilitates both full orbital rotation and a conventional straight-line trajectory for on-axis use. Equipped with industry standard 5/8" threads, M1-R Mic Adaptors significantly boost the versatility and accuracy of any microphone stand.

Micro M2-R Retrofit Orbital Mic Adaptor

Micro M2-R Orbital Mic Adaptors feature a short stem-mounting arm designed for smaller microphones, such as small-diaphragm pencil condensers and hand-held dynamics. The exclusive Triad-Orbit Compass Point ball swivel housing solidly secures mics in any mounting position.

M2-R Mic Adaptors are the perfect interface between traditional mic stands and add-on accessories like iPad mounts, music desks, etc. The added range-of-motion and secure lockout positions earn M2-R Adaptors a slot in every performer’s gig bag.

All Triad-Orbit Advanced Microphone Stand System components are IO-equipped, giving them unique quick-change capability.
