Active PMC Loudspeakers
For the ultimate no-compromise pairing of loudspeakers and amplifiers with PMC’s patented Advanced Transmission Line™ technology, music and audio professionals seek out PMC's active range, which uses state-of-the-art active crossovers and analogue or digital amplification to provide unrivaled tonal accuracy, resolution and dynamic range.
Passive PMC Loudspeakers
While it's hard to better a well-engineered set of active speakers, passive monitors, when designed with care and respect like the PMC loudspeaker range, will always outperform inferior active designs. Aimed at professional studio engineers and producers who prefer to define their own loudspeaker/amplifier combination, PMC's passive speakers are just as uncompromising when it comes to quality.
PMC's subwoofers provide the very last word in extended bass response that maintains dynamics and depth, but from smaller speakers than many other similar products on the market, thanks to their advanced ATL™ design.
About PMC Loudspeakers
Founded in 1991 by Peter Thomas of the BBC and Adrian Loader of FWO Bauch, PMC Loudspeakers combined their knowledge and life-long passion for music into their first product, the BB5-A, an active main studio monitor. This iconic speaker design quickly infiltrated the market, being snapped up by the BBC Maida Vale and Metropolis Mastering and remains the world’s reference, used by Prince, Stevie Wonder’s Wonderland Studio, Hospital HDTV Broadcast London and for renowned classical labels such as Decca and Harmonia Mundi. Many of today’s movie themes have been crafted using PMC, from such eminent composers as Henry Jackman, Thomas Newman, Tyler Bates and John Debney.
PMC are one of the very few companies who have been awarded an Emmy® for their contribution to recording excellence. With film, it would be easier to list the blockbuster movies which did not use PMC during the process of music production and post! But titles include: Titanic, Mission Impossible, Captain Phillips, Pearl Harbor, Game of Thrones – TV, Iron Man 1 & 2, Skyfall, Spiderman 1,2,3, Pirates of the Caribbean and many many more.
PMC Loudspeaker designs feature its uniquely engineered Advanced Transmission Line (ATL™) technology, proprietary drive units, electronics and cabinet engineering, providing unrivaled tonal accuracy, clarity and dynamic range throughout a range of designs. The ATL line extends from the world’s smallest ATL™ design, the DB1i, to large scale active control room monitoring systems such as the QB1-XBD-A. PMC monitor systems are in service with most of the world’s premiere music and film sound recording studios, broadcast, post production and audio mastering facilities.
PMC Loudspeakers reign supreme throughout much of the professional world with the belief that a good loudspeaker should be able to relay the purest intentions of the artist without coloration – The ideal solution for any studio.
